We have updated the billing logic for RPM and RTM programs to align with Medicare guidelines and ensure accurate, compliant claim generation.
What’s changed:
RPM: Management time for 99457/99458 will now be counted only after 99453 (device setup & patient education) is completed
RTM: Management time for 98980/98981 will now be counted only after 98975 (device setup & onboarding) is completed
Any time logged before setup codes are generated will no longer contribute toward management billing thresholds
Why this matters:
Ensures compliance with Medicare billing requirements
Prevents incorrect claim generation and reduces audit risk
Improves billing accuracy and eligibility tracking
2. Preserve Goals & Symptoms When Removing ICD Codes- Estimated Release on April 8, 2026
We have improved the Care Plan experience to prevent unintended data loss when removing ICD codes.
What’s changed:
Goals and Symptoms are now preserved when an ICD code is removed
Manually edited entries remain untouched and are retained automatically
A confirmation message is shown to clarify that linked data will remain

This update ensures continuity in care planning, reduces accidental data loss, and maintains accurate clinical documentation.
3. Improved Visibility for EHR Sync Issues: Estimated Release on April 8, 2026
We have enhanced system messaging to make it easier to identify and resolve EHR sync issues.
What’s changed:
Clear, user-friendly alerts now specify which patient records are not synced and highlight the exact issue (e.g., provider, department, or referring provider)
Improved ICD code visibility – Non-billable ICD codes are now labeled and show details on hover for better clarity.

These updates help users quickly identify and fix sync issues, reducing delays and improving data accuracy for billing and reporting.
4. Support for Hyphenated & Special Characters in Patient Last Names- Estimated Release on April 8, 2026
We have enhanced patient name handling to support hyphenated and approved special characters in last names.
What’s changed:
Patient last names now support hyphens (-), apostrophes ('), and spaces, along with standard alphabetic characters
Improved validation to prevent upload errors and ensure accurate patient data
Names are now stored and displayed consistently across the platform, including profiles, search, and reports
Clear error messages for unsupported characters
Why this matters:
This update improves data accuracy, EMR alignment, and patient identity matching, while ensuring compliance with messaging and data standards.
5. Visibility into Unsynced Insurance Data (Athena Practices)- Estimated Release on April 8, 2026
We have added new visibility to help identify active EHR patients with missing or unsynced insurance data in Athena-enabled practices.
What’s included:
Count of patients with unsynced or missing insurance data
Clear sync status indicators (Synced / Not Synced / Partial)
Filter options by practice, date range, and insurance availability (Yes/No)
Real-time visibility to help identify issues before claim staging
Why this matters:
This update helps reduce claim rejections, improves billing accuracy, and allows teams to proactively address missing insurance data.
