Pulse Oximeter User Manual
Model: BM1000
1. Install Battery
To remove the back cover compartment, push the white button and follow the direction of the printed arrows.
Install two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Match the plus (+) and minus (-) signs in the compartment. Incorrect polarity may damage the oximeter.
Slide the battery door cover horizontally in the direction of the arrow.
2. Measurement
Press the Function button.
Place one finger into the rubber hole of the oximeter (insert fully) before releasing the clamp, with the nail upward.
The data (SpO₂ and Pulse Rate) will display. Do not move the finger; remain motionless during reading.
Once finished, “Thank you” will display. Remove finger. Device turns off automatically.
NOTE:
Do not use on damaged extremities or with arterial catheters.
Avoid simultaneous SpO₂ and NIBP measurements on the same arm.
Do not use for patients with pulse rates <30 bpm.
Cover sensor under strong light to avoid inaccurate readings.
Disinfect before using on different patients.
Change sensor location and check skin integrity every 2 hours.
Factors Affecting Accuracy:
Nail polish, artificial nails, dyes, or pigmented creams.
Shock, anemia, hypothermia, vasoconstrictive drugs.
Poor perfusion or incorrect sensor placement.
